Introducing the 2012 National H.EA.T. Watch Conference:
a comprehensive event designed to enhance the capacity of law enforcement and practitioners to combat commercial sex trafficking of children (CSEC).
The conference is now full. If you are interested in attending, please email us at conference@heat-watch.org
The conference will be held June 13-15, 2012, at the Oakland Marriott City Center in Oakland, California.
The conference is designed to provide those professionals who intersect with children put into the commercial sex trade with the opportunity to identify the complex problems and strategic solutions for responding to CSEC victims, investigations and cases.
How much does it cost to attend the conference?
The cost to attend the three day conference is $75.
The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office is hosting the conference in partnership with The SAGE Project and Shared Hope International.
We encourage those in law enforcement (including police, sheriff, probation, parole, prosecutions and other professionals working in law enforcement) and practitioners (including social services, medical providers, mental health, education, probation, community-based organizations) to attend.
Attendees will participate in general sessions as well as specialized multi-disciplinary trainings. There will be two tracks for the break out sessions: one catering to practitioners and the other to law enforcement.
Law enforcement professionals as well as CSEC practitioners including social services, medical providers, mental health, education, probation, community-based organizations and policy makers will greatly benefit.
